Hello North Cowichan Council,

I was frustrated and saddened to hear of the lack of approval for West Vista Terrace. To me, it seems shortsighted.

As the new version of the OCP replaces the last, it does so recognizing an evolving community with aspects that still need to be addressed. The OCP creates guidelines and should continue to morph as thinking changes and positive alternatives are presented. Humanity, and business, are opportunistic. In West Vista Terrace North Cowichan is presented with a vast and immediately available opportunity that fits and excels in so many ways, not just financially. Green, locally well funded, supplying many homes and a comprehensively developed neighborhood including commercial space.

This is an opportunity on the table, which North Cowichan could continue to guide through the final aspects of the development approval process.

It is a win for all, if we are able to be objective and allow the appropriate OCP amendments to support this highly integrated venture. In order to comprehend the bigger picture, sometimes we need to get slightly out of our comfort zones.

Please reconsider the proposal.
